Definition: agentic AI


An AI model designed for use as an agent. AI agents operate on their own. For example, they can search the Web for additional information, activate other software, schedule tasks and connect to other software platforms via a programming interface (API).

In December 2025, Guiding Tech Media's Machine Learning Mastery mentioned the "Top 5 Agentic AI LLM Models," which included OpenAI o1/o1-mini, Google Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking and three open source models, including Kimi's K2, DeepSeek's V3/R1 and Meta Llama 3.1/3.2. See AI agent.
