Definition: Amazon Astro
A household robot from Amazon that launched in 2022. Available by invitation only, Astro was designed to entertain children, run errands ("take this to your brother in the den") and roam around the house as a security guard using the Ring network, which is included in a home trial. Using AI for object recognition, voice processing and user interaction, a commercial version was also launched in 2023 but was dropped the following year. See household robot.
