Definition: Amazon Astro
A household robot from Amazon. Available by invitation starting in 2022, Astro was designed to entertain children, run errands ("take this to your brother in the den") and roam around the house as a security guard using the Ring network. Using AI for object recognition, voice processing and user interaction, a commercial version launched in 2023 but was dropped in the following year. See household robot.
